2012 Customer of the Year

At our annual User Conference (Checkpoint), it is our tradition to recognize the customer organization and individual MC User that best demonstrates exemplary use of the Maintenance Connection Application.  With all customers in the running, MC Staff vote to honor an exceptional customer and user based upon these criteria:

  • Understands and utilizes the majority of the MC application
  • Demonstrates leadership in implementing and utilizing MC
  • Creative and innovative uses of the MC software
  • Broad implementation of the MC platform across the enterprise

At Checkpoint last week, these awards were presented with over 200 others present. The 2012 Customer of the Year was awarded to Valspar Corporation which has been a faithful MC customer since 2004, and within the last three years has standardized on the MC platform across the organization. The 2012 User of the Year was awarded to Geoff Gill of Pacific Retirement Services for demonstrating exceptional use and understanding of MC. Congratulations!

Live from Checkpoint 2012

Over 200 customers, international partners, and MC staff gathered this week for our annual Checkpoint user training conference at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. It was a huge success and tons of fun. We learned how to take Maintenance Connection to the next level and many new connections were forged between users. MC Version 6.0 was a main focus of the event and the announcement of the new release was well received. With nearly 200 customer-requested features, this version is going to be one of the most exciting releases we’ve ever put together. Big kudos to the MC development team! More information, dates, and release notes will be provided in the next few weeks.

We also announced the brand new MC User Connect which we’ll also be rolling out over the next few weeks. But feel free to check it out now and get signed up.

If you weren’t able to make it out to Checkpoint this year, mark your calendar for April 2013. It is an annual event that MC users should not miss.

Check out this video that recaps Checkpoint 2012:

At Maintenance Connection, we take great pride in the positive relationships established with our customers.  As such, we are proud to share that over 25% of the new customers that signed on in the past year were referred to us from our existing customer base.  We can’t thank you enough for the referrals and complimentary references that led to this success!

We wanted to find a way to show our appreciation for spreading the good word about us.  As such, if you are willing to share your MC experience with a friend or colleague and they decide to purchase Maintenance Connection, we will provide you with a $100 gift card:

Are you not sure how to introduce us to others?  Following is some sample text that can be copied and pasted into an email, and personalized to your liking.   Thanks for helping to spread the word about Maintenance Connection!

A Plain English Guide to Facility & Asset Management Software

In a story originally written by Ashley Halligan, a facilities management analyst at Software Advice, a Web-based advisory firm, she simply outlined the primary functions of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM), and Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) — all of which have some similarities, and sometimes leave consumers scratching their heads.

While technology continues to become more advanced, sometimes core functionalities, and therefore labels also change. Interviewing three industry experts, she took their insight and wrote a Plain English Guide for the common consumer seeking a software solution for their organization. The guide goes through core functions and provides examples of what business challenges these functions address.
